Tenerife Nightlife

Papagayo Beach Club is the most popular and exclusive club in the south of Tenerife, located right next to the famous Veronicas. During the season, you can enjoy sets by renowned house and techno DJs, especially during the Saturday parties. Each themed party happens once a week, always on the same day. On Thursdays, the club hosts R&B nights under the theme "Black Label," while Fridays are all about Spanish reggaeton rhythms. Sundays offer a special "Sunset by..." party, where you can dance while watching the sunset.

Papagayo is a two-level open-air club, known for its modern design and meticulous guest selection. A dress code is required, so it's important to keep that in mind. You can also reserve booths for 4 to 12 people, with the amount spent going towards alcohol and extras. The most exclusive are the "Private Palapas" – private huts on the first floor with a view of the dance floor.

The club blends a Balinese style with modern elements like lasers and colorful lights. The atmosphere of Tenerife nightlife is further enhanced by dancers in coordinated outfits, creating an unforgettable show.

  • Prices: High, entry €20.00-30.00, drinks about €10.00

  • Pros: Central location right by the ocean, open-air, two levels, tasteful decor, good quality music, high-quality alcohol, guest selection and security, close to a taxi stand

  • Dress code: Elegant. Note for men – there is guest selection; while they may allow entry in shorts, it’s better to dress smartly, as more formal evening attire may be required on certain nights.

Veronicas is the most popular party zone in Tenerife, filled with clubs and bars that come alive at night. Parties start every day at 10:00 PM and last until around 4:00 AM. The main crowd here is British, but you'll also find young people from all over Europe. The clubs and bars in this area often attract guests through PR (Public Relations) staff offering cheaper drinks. It's worth taking advantage of these offers, as prices are lower than at the bar, making Veronicas an attractive spot for affordable parties in Tenerife.

Although the drinks are much cheaper, their quality may not be as high as in more prestigious clubs.
