Shogun – Pirate Ship Whale Watching and Los Gigantes Cliffs Tour – 5 Hours

Adventurers, get ready for an unforgettable whale watching tour and a journey to the cliffs of Los Gigantes. Follow in the footsteps of pirates! We invite you aboard a genuine Chinese sailing ship, originally constructed for an Arab sheikh. Built in 1978 from noble teak wood with attention to every detail, a voyage on this historic ship will transport you back in time and provide a unique, magical adventure. The Shogun is 26 meters long and 8 meters wide. We will start our journey from the port in Costa Adeje and set sail in search of bottlenose dolphins and short-finned pilot whales.

During the five-hour cruise, we will sail to the shores of an old pirate village and to the base of Spain's highest cliffs, Los Gigantes. These cliffs reach nearly 600 meters in height, though above sea level we can admire only half of their height, which still leaves a colossal impression. For refreshment and full relaxation, there will be a stop at the beautiful Masca Bay with crystal-clear water, an ideal spot for swimming. When hunger strikes, the crew will prepare a meal for us consisting of Spanish rice with vegetables, grilled chicken, salad, and fruits. Throughout the cruise, unlimited soft drinks will be available, with beer and wine offered for a small fee.

Dolphins and Whales in Tenerife

Due to its geographical location, the trade winds, and the presence of the highest peak in the Atlantic Ocean, the El Teide volcano, the surrounding waters maintain temperatures between 17 and 24 degrees Celsius year-round. This allows many different marine animals to stay in these areas for extended periods. These include blue whales, sperm whales, orcas, beaked whales, and various dolphins such as spotted, rough-toothed, and common dolphins. However, it is important to note that the Shogun ship has a certificate with the Blue Boat flag, indicating compliance with international rules and requirements for the protection of marine flora and fauna.
