Jeep – La Gomera

The Jeep tour of La Gomera will provide you with an abundance of unique experiences! This small island is one of the smallest in the Canary Islands, yet it is very rich in flora. The jewel of the Garajonay National Park is the largest laurel forest in the world. La Gomera is chosen by tourists seeking peace and quiet. The island has an interesting history; in the late 15th century, one of its visitors was none other than Christopher Columbus, who regained his strength on this small island before his long and exhausting voyage to India, which, as we know from history, led to the discovery of America.

La Gomera enchants everyone with its diverse landscapes and magical atmosphere. To find yourself in the heart of a mysterious fairy tale, simply enter the laurel forest, where the winding and tangled branches covered in moss look like the arms of creatures from fantasy stories. There are also places historically associated with love – the Garajonay hill was named after the ill-fated lovers.

Undoubtedly, La Gomera surprises with its unpredictability, as with every step you discover incredible natural phenomena. Interestingly, the inhabitants of this small 370km² territory use a unique whistling language for communication. This whistled language, called El Silbo, was invented by shepherds to communicate across high hills and deep ravines.

The ferry crossing is done by Fred Olsen ferry, and the tour itself is conducted in groups of several vehicles, with a maximum of 8 people per jeep. This attraction is not suitable for those who are "faint-hearted" or suffer from motion sickness; for some, a bus tour of La Gomera might be a better option.
