Gran Tour – Teide Masca Icod Garachico
The Gran Tour Teide Masca offers visits to some of the most iconic and diverse places on Tenerife. It includes a full-day itinerary for exploring the island. The tour begins with the lunar landscapes of the El Teide National Park, where we will make a 30-minute stop. Here, we will see the highest peak in Spain, the El Teide volcano, along with its surroundings and neighboring volcanoes. We will also discover the rock formations of Roques de Garcia, which have stood for millions of years. This tour does not include the option to take the Teleferico cable car, allowing for a more extensive sightseeing plan. After our stop at El Teide National Park, we will head towards Icod de Los Vinos. Here, we can admire the famous El Drago Milenario, a tree that is over 1000 years old! Our next destination is Garachico, once the most important port city in Tenerife, which was destroyed by the eruption of a nearby volcano in 1706. The town was rebuilt on lava foundations, and today it is an interesting and impressive place. Visitors can stroll through the cobblestone streets of its historic-artistic center, one of the most representative in the Canary Islands, and admire the impressive natural pools formed by volcanic lava.
Finally, we will visit a pirate village nestled amidst the beautiful Teno mountain range. As we continue our journey, we will enjoy breathtaking landscapes leading to the stunning Masca Gorge until we reach the charming village of Masca. This picturesque village, together with the surrounding gorge, is often compared in beauty to Machu Picchu.
